write descriptions beside my poems? I have seen many poems with a quick one line summary beside them and wonder if anyone can tell me how I can do that.

I believe that when you submit a poem, in your submissions page, you will find, below the place where you type in the title, a "Keywords" box... I never used it, but if I was a betting person, I would go with this one! ;)

Thanks, that makes sense :) Btw, your pic kinda makes me think of Claire Forlani.

No descriptions for poems

You can't. Lit uses the same form for poem and story submissions, but in the poetry submission the caption phrase is not offered.

None of the poems posted at lit have a description and we are not allowed to break down the categories either (other than erotic/non-erotic).

So, as a result, none of our readers has any idea what our poems are about unless they first go to the trouble of reading them.

At least in the stories, the readership can zero in on subjects that interest them before reading them.
