I've been reading stories at the site for a while and started submitting stories 5-6 months ago. Started checking out the BB recently and I've made a few posts. What i can't figure out is how to go to the stories of a particular BB poster. I have clicked on the profile but there isn't always a WWW link and nothing else seems to take me to the stories. I have done searchs to try and find the poster's stories but the poster's name is apparently different from their pen name.

I apologize in advance if it turns out I am missing something obvius but believe me, I have tried everything I could think of to avoid having to ask. Thanks!

Which search function have you tried? There are three of them.

If you use the search button at the top of this page, it will only find the BB profile -- only the information that pertains to the BB.

If you go to the Story index page, you'll find the "Search Members" link and the "Search Stories" link.

In the Search members link Where you can search for the BB Handle of user and turn up the Member's profile that displays all of the other information on that user, including the links to their stories -- if any.

Some of us do have a different name (or names) that we post stories under. My pen name is referenced in my member's profile although I don't think many other authors do that.

If you know there are stories but can't find them, send a PM to the person and ask what name the stories are linked to.

I had tried the search members and search authors without success. I hadn't tried the button on the BB page but went directly to the posters profile (which amouts to the same thing). hadn't thought of the PM route, I'll give that a try!

Some don't want to be found and use a dif name from the BB, they are quite happy to just leave their stories for you to read and never have feedback.

But if you like a story by an author, save their profile story page as a book mark and find their new stories throught that.

A pm is not a bad idea if they are on the BB and you know they write.

But remember, "Stephen King does not go out and murder to get the plot for his next book" But then maybe he does *chuckle*

Ahh.. but that is the thing about stories with the words "fiction" attached to them... you never quite know if they are or not
