You will have to download a third party program. I use Paint Shop Pro. I've also written my own on in Visual Basic

In MS Paint...

I ONLY Have The Microsoft Paint Program In Windows To Work With & Am Clueless About This Procedure.

Open the picture you want to convert.

On the file menu, click "Save As"

Under the file name is a list box that will tell you the format the picture is currently in. Find JPEG or GIF on the list and click.

change the name as required.

You may have problems saving some pictures as GIFs because the GIF format only supports 256 colors and MS Paint will not automatically reduce the color level.

For the purpose of converting images from one format to another, Paint Shop Pro is unrivaled. It can open, save, and convert from and to almost any digital image format.
