Add an Avitar..now that I have over 100 posts?

1: Make one (look at other AVs for the appropriate size)
2: Go to the User controlpanel
3: Click Edit Options
4: Scroll down to bottom of form
5: Click Change Avatar button
6: Choose 'yes' at Use Custom Avatar
7: Either upload it somewhere and type in it's URL, of pick it from your hard drive.

That should be it.

I am not sure if they are enforced or not...I've seen some pretty crude ones.
I still can't get my avitar to work..I uploaded a pic, won't show...

DarkStr, have a stroll around the GB and come back.


AmericanWench, is it the appropriate size? Right click on your pic and click properties from the menu - see size. Guidelines for AV size are : the maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 20000 bytes (whichever is smaller).

Yep, it is...but I was scrolling through the posts..and I think someone said the pic doesn't actually appear until after midnight of the day you upload it?

Mine appears immediately after I upload it. Does it appear in your edit options page if not on your posts?

It does appear on my edit options page..just not my posts..and the size is I believe, 67 x 115

Did you upload it directly or point to an url? In some other uploading systems like the one we've got here that makes a difference. Not saying it does here, but it might.

I pushed the "upload" button, and uploaded it from my computer
