How do I reinstall the button to "follow" me?

I think it was there before I changed the background image about a week ago. Only the "contact" icon is still there.

Yep. It’s in the same place for people who have a banner and people who don’t have a banner.

I don’t see it on my own profile page, which makes sense as “following yourself” isn’t much of a feature.

That makes sense, but I thought the link was "universal" in the sense that I would see the same thing as everybody else does. (You can tell I'm not that tech savvy.) You mean that being logged in to Lit changes what is visible to me?

I see a Unfollow button, as I follow you. So it makes sense to me that it's a toggle Follow/Unfollow button. I use the Beta screen format, not the Classic, if that helps.

Thanks, I do see a unfollow buttons on some people's profile but not mine. Actually, Beta versus Classic screen format doesn't help me much because I'm not sure what those mean! Didn't Steve Jobs and Apple solve all these tangled user issues years ago? The iPhone I have now is much more complicated and confusing than the one I first had, so we seem to be slipping backwards.

I know, I should read more of the FAQ pages.

P.S.: I'm now following you - I didn't think you'd mind. But you still have the old header (the blue bookcase). Would adding my own header make any difference? (I just did that last week.)
