I have an illustration, with the poem in the picture, and when I browse and upload it turns into this wacky code. I'm doing something wrong, obviously...

help, please.

The way I always use is:

1. I submit a poem in the regular fashion, but instead of the text, I simply write 'ARTWORK COMING VIA EMAIL from my-email@somewhere.com; all text is embedded in the image.'

2. I send an email to submit@literotica.com with '[Poem Title] - by Lauren Hynde - ARTWORK' in the subject line and the text: 'In attachment: XXX.jpg - Artwork to be added to "[Poem Title]" submitted by Lauren Hynde through the regular submission form.

That never fails to work. ;)

crafty! great idea...

Oh, and don't forget all images must be .gifs or .jpgs, 450 pixels wide or less (no limit for height) and less than 40k in size.

If it's a jpg. Laurel will try to increase the compression level as much as possible without losing too much quality. Around 40% should work for most illustrations.

oh well

day late and a dollar short...

but what she (Lauren) said. And did you see my new illustration for She Rings? Just click the link below (this was posted as a "yesterday" new poem, like Lauren's Prodigal of Blue, so I suspect most missed it...)

Finished too. Mines a double-mirror acrostic. :p

perks ‘n Tess in jello

Wobbling, jiggling, gobbling, giggling,
Perks in jello lies
Nibbling, spooning, dribbling, swooning
Tess, who’s sleevless tries
To reach her rival wallowing there
Lime green jello in her hair.

Poets come in and then they go
Smiling sweetly cuz they know
Perk and Tristesse can be seen
Splashing in the slimey green.
Perks sits up and punches Tess
“Why’ve you got me in this mess?”
Tess says “Ow! This needs a poultice
All because I’m proud of my Soltice
.
.
.
.
.
poem!”

:p

tess is such a rhyming whore
but not one bit a poetic bore
even though I love to wrestle in the green
I don't think even I could be that mean
as to punch that chica in the arm
causing her to come to harm
my goal has always been just this
wrestling girls sometimes kiss.
Even though she mocks my solstice
at least she doesn't need a poultice.
