This is going to make me sound really stupid but how do i post a link to one of my stories on a thread???
I know it says 'insert hyperlink', but how do you get the link? Do you search for your own story then cut and paste the entire LONG link from the address bar???
I have just never had to do it before so if anyone could help me out i would apreciate it.

posting link

The address to the story isnt really that large. It shows in the address bar when you are on the page with your story.

For example, your Blackmail story address would be:
http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=45433

To make this a link in your message, you make the 'tag' like:

[ U R L = ' http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=45433' ] My BlackMail Story [ / U R L ]

Remove all the spaces from the bracketed '[' parts above.

It should look like this (hopefully it does, I havent done this too often either!):

ilovewriting's BlackMail Story

I hope this helps. If you want it in your sig, you use the HTML anchor tags:

[A HREF='http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=45433']My Story[/A]

I think your problem might be you arent unchecking the 'automatically parse URLs' option when you create the post. I've never used that, because I prefer to name my post rather than just have it automatically become a hyper link.

It looks like you're trying to link to a story which isnt on Lit? That might be tough to do because of the URL encoding necessary. What is the address to which youre trying to link?

ALL of my stories are on lit.

Ill try unchecking that thing, I think you are right, thats probably what it is.

GRRRRR!!!!!!! Well it looks good but now it says 'there was an error when displaying this link' every time i try to go to it to see if it works.
I unticked Automatically parse like you said too.

First, the URL you need for your stories should all start with "HTTP://www.literotica.com" if they're all on literotica. The link to your author's page is: http://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=79934

I made that a link, just by using Right-Click, Copy Shortcut, and Paste with the automatically parse URLs turned on.

If you want that in your signature line so all of your stories are there to be found, cut and paste the following line into your user CP/Edit options/Signature text box.

<A HREF="http://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=79934">My Story</A>

URL="http://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=79934"]My Stories[/URL (Inside a closed set of "[]" of course.) will put My Stories in the body of a post.
