How do I make a GIF?

I have a YouTube video I would like to make several GIFs out of to be used in a role play. I found some GIF making web sites, but some want me to download programs to my computer, which I won't do under any circumstances; and some won't let me copy the link directly to my one individual GIF after I've made it to post it here in Lit.

Can someone give me some help on this? I'll talk dirty to you later if you want.

Why not download a photo editor? I use lunapicphotoeditor with no problems.

The problem I ran into with my chosen YouTube video is that I can't seem to download it to my computer to edit it. I actually do have editing capability on my computer, I think, but when I right click on the YouTube video in question, there are options to copy the URL but not copy or save the video itself to my computer.

Any ideas around that?

I even tried to start a YouTube channel in an attempt to save the video to my own channel and/or library, but for reasons I can't explain, every time I try to start a YouTube channel, it tells me I am signing in with the wrong YouTube name.
