ok so it has come to my attention that i can't write for nothing. i thought i was doing a fine job.. i tryed really hard.. but when people start killing off your charectors for no reason there has to be a reason right?!?! so please someone tell me how to get better.

People who kill off other characters without the consent of the player aren't good roleplayers.

In my opinion, which probably doesn't count for much, being a good roleplaying is simply enjoying the concept of the story and making sure that your partners are having a good time as well.

that is what i always thought too. but i can not say this was unexpected.. i have had complaints about my spelling and my grammer. but no one ever killed my charector for it until now..*sigh*

While typing words properly is always a plus, just because you don't do it 100% of the time isn't ok grounds to knock characters down.

See, roleplaying, to a lot of people, myself included, is a form of literature. We expect the people with play with to post with a professional grade of literary awareness. Solid story, proper grammar and spelling, appropriate distiction between narration and dialogue, and proper format and punctuation. For me, roleplaying is the same as writing a novel, the only difference is that these stories are interactive, contributed to by many writers instead of just one.

EDIT: Even I have trouble with typos, though. *corrects typos*

im behind ya icu it is wrong and its not write remember im nto a good writer every one i think is better then me esspescially maid,jeff,tears,and this girl before me sorry didnt have time to look at name but realize that we have writeing potential me included i just am not all that skilled in it but im learnign an dwhen i concentrait hardenough with out busting a blood vessel i can be professional its just harder work for me and i think roleplaying should be fun not work!

I went to read, now here's my opinion.

First of all, everyone seems (at least to me) to always be in a hurry to post. We all know my speeds come in slow and reverse, but I just can't write that way. We all have our own styles/speed of writing.

Now, why didn't you two take the time to discuss this in PM or IM to find out exactly what was going on? I'm thinking a lot of heartache could have been avoided that way.

Water under the bridge, I know BUT that's why we can edit our posts. Why don't you two talk it out privately? Kousotu said you were doing a good job, C.. Take some deep breaths and both of you have a talk off this board.

Then we'll talk about how to fix stuff.

Actually, you'd be surpised how many things I misspell when I get to typing really fast. I always write all my posts in a word processor first, with spell check enabled. Even then, I still miss things sometimes.

grr.. sorry for all the drama folks.. i should have put up that my friend down there had contacted me. we did just get our wires crossed and completely missed the point.. ok i admit it I missed the point by a mile. but then when i fellow starts filling your room with water what is one to think eh?

anyways i am still glad i put this up becuase someone has lead me to rethink a few things and fixing a problem or two that i have. at this point in time let me apologize to Kousotu. and to all of you for being an overly emotional brat tonight.

i had noooooooo intention of creating such a mess. but like i said something really good did come from this thread.. well one not so good. but i will deal with that one on one. lmao i dont want to get something else like this started.

i meant no harm and i really am glad that i have found out that there are infact a couple of things that i can work on to make everyone including myself much happier with my writing.
