How do I find an editor for a non-sexual piece?

I realize that many editors say that they’ll edit ‘anything’ or close to it but since they signed up as an editor for a porn site I’m assuming they are expecting sexual content in the stories they edit.

Is there any unique list of editors for non-sexual subjects? Are there any writers that write non-sexual stories that can recommend me an editor? Or should I just pick one off the list and hope they don’t mind?

I'd go over the list and pick a few editors that list editing credentials - schooling, work experience, etc. These would probably be best suited to helping with a non-erotic piece. Send them a letter describing your piece and asking them if they'd be interested. If you send out 3-5 solicitations, you should get at least one positive response. If any of them don't respond or if their email bounces, let me know.

How do I find an editor for a non-sexual piece

I'd be happy to edit non-sexual stories! I volunteer here because I enjoy editing and because that's what I do for a living (I edit for a legal publisher).
