There are people here who will do it for free. You can find them in the "Editors Forum." But bear in mind that you're working on their timetable, not yours.

There are also people out in the Real World who do it, but they generally charge for their work. And if you're writing erotica, they may not want to handle it at all. Look for "Editorial services" or something like that in your local Yellow Pages or equivalent.

Thanks I would be glad to work with them on their time for me time is all i have.
you got to enjoy life is my theory its to short here on earth.
Thanks pal from

It all depends on where you will be "Publishing" your story(ies).

If you will be posting them here at Lit. check out the Editors Forum. Let them know you are only looking for a proof reader and what category the story(ies) will be posted in.

If you will "Publishing" them...say at Smashword or Amazon Kindle Publishing, they I'm afraid you will have to hire someone to do the job. Then do what Jehoram suggested and look for Editorial Services.

I will accept your offer I first have to get toil writing it but if u want ill pm you the story

Please note that proofreading and editing are two entirely different tasks, though some people conflate them. Proofreading is simply a markup of a text that indicates where the text differs (usually in the form of a typo or other error) from the original text. A proofreader only points out the differences between two texts and does nothing else.

Editing involves actually making recommendations for changing text to improve its readability, fluency, or any one of a dozen or more other qualities in the text. A subset of editing is copyediting, in which the copy editor scours the whole text for incongruencies, errors in sequencing (of plot items) and such.

Now, which service is it that you really need or want?
