I am still using dialup. How do I stop the phone line from being dropped every 20-30 minutes and the computer having to redial??

How do I stop these damn popups? My popup blocker is on and I have Mcafee antivirus which also has a popup blocker, but I still get them.

I have Zone Alarm Pro which has a built in Pop Up stopper.

Someone else was on a rant about pop-ups sometime ago and I had to stop and remember what they were talking about.

Call your dial-up service provider and go through some trouble shooting, or upgrade to DSL/Broadband.

As for the pop-ups, go to download.com and get adaware and spybot. Install them, update them, run them. It'll take some time to download them over dial-up, so if you can, download them at your library or some place with a faster connection, put them on a flash drive, and take it from there.

For the pop ups you should get a few programs also it may be necessary to clean cookies from your pc after the end of the day before powering it down.
A few great programs:
-AVG free antivirus (this program works int he background of you pc as you surf the net)
-SuperAntispyware
-Clamwin Antivirus
-Spybot
