How did your New Year start?

Mine was rainy, cold and alone, as usual

I was alone too, but cooking enough to feed an army, although it was just for my brother and his wife. It was cold outside, but couldn't feel it. I was cooking since mid Saturday afternoon.

I watched fireworks, did a couple of shots of JD with a hot chocolate chaser (not recommended), then listened to some music until like 2am. Maybe not exciting, but I've had worse New Year's.

alone in my apt, watched the ball drop on tv, binge watched recorded shows on my dvr and then went to sleep at about 2:30 am. had new year's eve dinner with friends much earlier in the day--about 6:30 pm.

My new year started with a stream of arguments over a 10 hour period, which included me yelling with a hoarse voice and feeling woozy all the while.

I decided to do something different I actually went out to a party at a club, well restaurant. It was real cool, the music was really great, it wasn't overly expensive at all and open bar and buffet. So I had fun, and in keeping with my resolutions here I am posting on Lit for the second time, instead of just reading and wondering about things I figured I'd just go ahead and jump in the pool
