How did we get here.....Matt Lawrence thought to himself as he looked out the window of the second story conference room at his lawyer's office. It was a cold December morning and the light was reflecting off of the now dirty snow in the small town square. He heard Laurie come in behind him. He only glancing back for a second. Guess she got here before he lawyer too. Matt's had run out to get coffee and make a few more copies. Stan was a nice enough guy, a retired Sergeant from off the force who made time for college thanks to the G.I. bill after Vietnam and went to night school while working days. He handled all the stuff for the guys like wills and stuff, but he made an exception in Matt's case to help out since he had been such a good friend to him and his family his last two years on the force.

Matt turned and looked at Laurie. She looked great as usual. The local news anchor didn't have hair out of place, and she wore a lovely jacket and blouse and skirt and she was pulling off her uggs to slip into a pair of heels. Always the professional perfectly dressed. He laughed and tried to keep it in thinking about the muddy park football games they played with the other couples they knew. He had a great picture of her some in a Jets jersey, black eye paint and pigtails covered in mud laughing. Seemed like a life time ago though. He moved to his chair across from her which could have been another continent and nodded as he poured himself a glass of water.

Laurie was going to college local and was writing for their paper when I met her. She came into the station wanting an interview with an officer and the sergeant at the desk was giving her a hell of time. She wouldn't back down though, and I kept smiling at her. I didn't go to school well not at that point she got me to go back. I was working as a civilian aid at the department. Kind of a job you had to take so you could become an officer. They would evaluate you and it would help you out when a slot opened up. I lived in an apartment with a few buddies across the street above a sporting goods place and a chinese take out place. Beer and fried rice were two food groups for me and the apartment looked like men lived there. Magazines, weights, and beer cans were all over the place, and swim suit clad women on the walls.

She changed everything though. After we met, she didn't' call me for like two weeks, but when she did we were together. All the time. She made me clean up, go back to school, and became my best friend. The guys thought I was nuts, but she was the best and was the one cheering the loudest at my graduation from the academy and I to did the same when she wore, her cap and gown. We lived together for awhile in town and then when the jobs got better we married and moved to a spacious farm house on the edge of town.

"Ah hair looks nice some demographic like it more like that?"

"Surprised you even noticed. Nice to see you cleaned up at least." He was a jean and t-shirt guy when they got married, but as the job became more serious she liked it less and less. Stan told him a suit would be a good idea while he said he would do the uniform after all he worked 12 hours just last night. Stan of coarse told him to get some sleep and a shower and a shave and wear something else so he compromised. Jeans, button down shirt, and a blazer.

"You used to think I looked good in anything."

"You used to be civil and return phone calls."

"You used to call back and don't talk to me about civil. Taking everything out of the house when I was away with work? Coming back to no furniture or the dogs? Your pet sitter sees them more than you, I bet."

"You never liked anything I brought into that house. You never complimented anything and those dogs are mine too! You rescued them on the road side Mr. Hero but find a wife who thinks it is okay to just bring in five sickly puppies in and takes care of them and bottle feed them and spends a fortune on a vet. I walk them every day!"

"Oh I am sorry my heroics are BS to you, I am not changing the world by covering the opening of the shopping centre like you."

"Don't you dare say that to me. I was with you ever second you were in the hospital. I couldn't sleep most nights, and I was so proud of you. And you know that is not all I do...you never watched me work. It really would have killed you to make one awards dinner wouldn't it. What is the big deal if I work in the city it isn't like you will notice? You volunteered for everything. The Dive team, the Swat team, the joint team with the fire department, and the K9 unit so we had another dog in the house."

"It is not like you were ever there.... ah" he sighed and thought gawd this is how we got here.

"Ah Connan misses you. He always hangs around the door when you were supposed to be home by. I guess he just thinks you're very late, " he laughed and smiled over at her.

She laughed and looked down. "Yeah guess I kinda am. The kids..I mean the dogs miss you too. They won't lay on your side of the bed. Kids we wanted those didn't we? We just ended up acting like them."

"Ah yeah we did...Both here like an hour early. I know we aren't supposed to, but can we like talk?"

"Talk talk...Not yell or walk away?"

"Yeah something like that Laurie. You still wear the ring."

"Yeah you too..."

That is where we begin..... Not the sexiest of topics or even the most pleasant, but not every erotic story starts off with a couple engaged in hot sweaty passionate love making. Sometimes you have to work into it. Any women who are interested please pm your thoughts. Nothing is set in stone, but I like the start and I like the names but we can discuss it so let me know what you think. I know divorce isn't an easy topic, but as long as you have love and passion you can build the rest is just details.:rose:

Matt looked good. I really missed him and his loving manner, but finally we just started going separate ways and it seemed he had lost interest in me.

Living apart the last few months until we finally agreed to finalize this crap, I knew Id never find anyone like him.

Maybe another man I could love but none of the guys I brought home ever turned me on the way he did.

Frankly I wished I could just undress and get naked with him and take him right here on his lawyer's desk, but now I was curious why they asked for this meeting and what kind of proposal I might hear.

I hoped he would just say something like "Let's go somewhere alone"

"This is all pretty formal. You know Frank's is open and probably nobody will be there for awhile. They have coffee. We sit there and talk for an hour and then we can come back here and we'll work stuff out."

Frank's was the local down town pub where you could get a cold beer and a good steak. It had a seating area and the coffee was actually not bad. The staff opened the place up at eleven, but even the most hardcore drinks didn't make it in until after 5pm. The place had lot of memories attached to it and they had even thought about doing their reception there. The couple had celebrated birthdays here, promotions, and met for a burge when things were crazy.

Problem was each ended up being here a lone alot too. Sitting waiting for the other to come in on a dinner break or drop by after work. Thing was dinner breaks would come and go and sometimes after work would extend passed closing. Then the cycle would start again. Someone home waiting and angery half in the bag and the other coming home late feeling bad they didn't call and had driven by the pub. Sorry wouldn't cover it and even when sharing a bed there was no feelings of intimacy.

The couple made their way down to Frank's anyway and were greeted by the skeleton crew there who were up early cleaning the place up for the next busy night. They were doing inventory at the bar and most of the tables were being cleaned so the soon to be excouple were seated in a front table they knew well. A college age kid in a pub t-shirt brought them coffees and lunch menues, but he quickly realized they were here to talk and though the exact nature was unclear it was something he didn't want to be around for.

Matt took a sip of coffee and smiled remembering happier times of the two. Saint Patrick's day parties, Christmas with there friends before heading to join family. They even shared a few intimate moments in the back seat of their SUV when they were two hot to make it home.

"I guess we should just sell the house. You arern't going to live in town any more and I don't want to. Don't get me wrong it is a nice place, always was, but to many memories. "

Since the seperation he had been living in apartment above a friend's two car gardage. It was actually a pretty nice place and great for a single guy, but it felt lonely. His friend's family did their best and invited him to eat. A husband, a wife, three kids and one on the way. He didn't mind babysitting and the fact that his friend's wife always made to much was a comfort. The kids liked playing with him and he taught them what he knew about martial arts in the yard. Family was nice but it was someone else's.

That reminded him. "The Walkers do say "hi" and Judy wants you to call her. They say there not taking sides even though I am living there. They're visiting her family for the holiday so call before they go okay."

"And about money I know make more and I don't want any I just want this to be over with okay. I'll take the motorcycle just give me some time to give the cash for it. You're not going to ride it and I don't want some stranger too own it."

He paused and thought. "What do ya do with all the wedding and Christmas pictures though? What did divorced people do? Sure you had the stuff you wanted but there was other stuff nobody wanted.

"Don't worry the ones of you in lingerie are in a secure spot. You can keep them, I would like to, but well I know how pretty you are Laurie. Don't want some scandal about the local news anchor to get out. Your agent say how this will effect your ratings? Oh how rude of me how is the little prick?"

Laurie

I was glad to be here with him and the many memories ran rampant through my head as I listened to him ramble without hearing a word he was saying.

It wasnt that I wasnt interested. I just didnt want to talk about a final split

Finally I just looked at him and smiled.

"Dont even ask any of those things. There isnt any hurry. In fact since I was the one suing you for divorce we can delay it as long as we want. In fact, I remember being here and going out to the car to go home and kissing you and never wanting to ever leave."

"Matt, thats the way I feel right now. I took the day off and dont have to be at the station until five for my six o'clock broadcast. Our schedules never did work did they? we were always apart at the wrong time werent we?"

Our eyes met and mine started to water. I couldnt even smile. I didnt want to let go. After a moment of silence I blurted out "Do you hate me?"

"I know- lets go back home and get out the motorcycle and go for a ride. Lets go down to the beach and run up and down the sand dunes like we used to."

Can we? Please let's do it right now"

Matt

She just blurted out a bunch of things. It was alittle hard for to take all in at once and after swallowing a mouth full of coffee he nodded and decided to do his best to answer her.

When her tears appeared he slide over a cocktail natkin as the waiting staff shifted around so they could maybe here what was going on without interupting or getting noticed. Rick looked over at her and reached over and held her hand and looked at the ring.

"Well you are the one suing me for dirvorce. I hoped we were going to work things out I mean..I mean don't you think I loved those night with you too. We used to have fun all the time even when we were busy. Remember how many pairs of your pantihose we ruined because we couldn't wait," for a second both emotionally upset people smiled and kept holding hands.

"I don't hate you loved you...I still do honey really and you were right. We were never there at the same time. It wasn't home it was a place to put our stuff. "

He heard her request and leaned his head back and then looked back at her and nodded yes, but by looking in his eyes she could tell there was more.

"Yeah we can take the bike to the beach. We can have a good time. Roll around in the sand and make each other smile then you got to go back and well we just put things off again don't we."

He reached out and held both of her hands,"we don't have much of a marriage to save right now, but maybe we could do better? What do you think?"

Laurie

"I dont think - I know- I dont want to lose you"

"Let's give it a try. I've been so miserable but just seeing you this morning made me realize what I was doing.

"Take me home"

We left my car there in the parking garage and I rode with him. He expressed reservations about not having the right clothes for a cycle ride, but I told him there was one of his jumpsuits out in the garage that he used to wear to work on the car or cycle.

But we didnt say much. There wasnt much to say. He was coming home with me. I wished he would pull off the road so we could kiss and neck
as I remembere the good times.

There were a lot of them.

"It wasnt all bad was it?"

"Well I don't want to lose you either," he swallowed and played with his cup off coffee for a moment then looked up and said, "what we had wasn't something worth saving by the end you know. We can't go back to that."

With some persuading on her part we were soon driving in my beatup old red mustang towards the house. I hadn't been there in close to a year since we seperated. We didn't say much on the ride over. A trip we had made a thousand times, drunk, sober, happy, and after awhile alone and indifferent. He looked over at her as he drove and just nodded.

"It wasnt all bad was it," was what she asked when I pulled into the drive way.

"No it was some of the best years of my life. I miss them and well it doesn't seem like we worked together any more."

I reached over and put my hand on her's

Laurie

"I'll try harder Matt. I never knew how much I loved you until we separated. We didnt get out of the car. We just sat there and held hands.

"Let's go inside. I havent changed anything since you left"

I opened my door and walked around his car to his side and opened his door. Reaching out my hand, I took his and gave it a gentle tug as our eyes met. He didnt say anything but seemed to ask if I knew what I really wanted

I did

We got to the door and I turned and asked him to carry me over the threshhold as he did when we first bought the place and moved in together, and then we werent even married yet.

"I missed you too when we were seperated. Kept on doing things like picking up Chinese food and expecting you to come in with ice cream or watching TV and you just to come in and sit on the couch and cuddle up." It was nice holding her hand again.

I smiled as I lifted her up and carried here throw the front door and walked around holding her as she clung to me until I put her down on the sofa. The place had the familiar warm his new lodging didn't and the happy memories came flooding back he smiled and nodded and almost cried then the police officer in him kicked in. Something was amiss. He walked around and looked at the house then back at her.

"Yeah you did make some changes all of my stuff and come to think of it I have heard the same from you before. I mean like you have promised things would be better. You did that a few times and we spent even less time. I cut back on overtime so I could come home to an empty house."

He looked around then back at her on the couch. "And and empty bed. You want us back but you won't do anything different will you?"

Laurie

"Yes I will. I learned my lesson well", I said as I unbuttoned my blouse and with it wide open crawled on my knees over to him and put my head in his lap sitting in his favorite chair, still right where it was when he moved out.

I didnt ask him to leave, it was his idea and when I begged him to stay he laughed at me.

Now he was here and I reached out and unzipped his pants. Taking out his beautiful coick I took it in my mouth and started making love to it.

Just a few sucks and I looked at him and told him I hadnt done this with another man since he left.

I licked the head and said "I'll do a lot of things different starting right now if you will let me"

It was nice having her lay her head on me but then I realized I was being suckered in again. She knew just how to get me to do something, but I wouldn't put up with it.

I moved for the door but she caught me and began to show me that special kind of love that a man doesn't get often as he would like. I looked down at her sucking and moaned missing those soft crimson lips.

"Well being together one more time wouldn't be a bad thing. I mean well maybe we can start fresh. Why don't you show me what you have done with the bedroom honey?"

I caressed her hair and smiled down at her.

"Your too hot to be an exwife."

Laurie

"I'm not going to be an ex-wife": I said as I led him back down the hall, past the pictures on the wall of the two of us at our wedding.

In the bedroom next to the bed was a picture of him, and I told him I kissed it goodnight every night

The rooim was just the same. Even his dresser, now empty, was right where it used to be.

I undressed, racing him to the finish as we both climbed onto the bed and met in the middle in a loving embrace, and I kissed him like I meant it, and I did.

It happened quickly. We went back to the bedroom and undressed quickly and were soon cuddled up on the bed. I had missed her and craved her soft warm flesh and kissed her back like I meant it and I caressed her from the side of her face to the bottom of her thigh without breaking contact.

"I think we need to start fresh. Before things started getting bad. I want to make love to you honey like it is the start of something new not because we used to have fun. We can't end up in relationship hell again."

I looked at her and lifted up her chin and looked in her eyes. "You want me to use a condom?"

Laurie

"Of. course not. In fact I think I'll quit taking the pills. I want to have your baby"

I rolled on my back and he mounted me. When he slipped inside I felt his cock reaching places that hadnt been touched since he moved out. I already knew what I had been missing. Now I knew what I wanted and needed.

"Oh Matt. It's been so long"

"My husband, get me pregnant. Fuck me like you used to. Ride me like your motorcycle. Off in the sunset now and forever"
