Yes, it can happen, and has to me. More than once.

A lot of it depends on what you are looking for, and *WHO* and *WHERE*. You generally must be literate, able to express yourself in words, be non-threatening but intriguing.

Many folk you meet are not what they present themselves to be, but can still be nice. Being petulant attracts nobody. Good luck. Mostly this is an online world and thus "safe" for both femmes and pseudo-femmes.
