How can I ignore threads posted by ignored users?

I don't think that you can. Ignore only ignores individual posts not entire threads. You won't see the words that the ignoree is posting unless they are quoted by someone else, you will still see their threads.

Maybe you could use whatever influence you have with any higher powers to change this.

IF A POST IS BY SOMEONE YOU DON'T LIKE, DON"T OPEN IT.

seems fairly simple to Me.

An earlier version of the BB software did completely eliminate any display of an ignored person's posts. It was modified to show that the posts of ignorees did exist because it caused problems with managing the database.

In part the change was made by popular demand, because people were being ignored indirectly if they posted on a thread started by someone on an ignore list -- not showing the thread also blocked any post by non-ignored people who posted to it.

I kind of liked it when threads just disappeared with the ignore function -- there were times when six pages of new posts were reduced to two pages because of the ignored threds not being displayed.

However, that version of the BB software had a LOT of problems with being slow and not displaying threads properly if there was an ignored post in them. Overall, I like this version of the software better.

Thanks Weird Harold. Do you offer a course? Can I sign up? Maybe you could just live at my house and answer all the questions that come up here too. I can't pay much but I would be forever grateful. Please. Pretty please.
