How can I find a beta?

Hey, I have been an active reader here for a few weeks now and its inspired me to start my own story. I've actually written a couple of pages now but I would want someone to check them out before posting it.

I've read somewhere on here about people that are willing to read your story and help you out with grammars and stuff, depending on what kind of story you've written. So I'm really interested. However I have no idea where to go to seek these betas out, so if anyone is willing to clue me in on this, I would really appreciate it.
