If your story doesn't "actually" have underage sex in it, you might consider putting a note at the beginning that all sex takes place between characters 18 years of age or older, and PM Laurel to that effect. That might work a little better than posting a rant like this.

Essentially copyright means that no part of the work may be reproduced without permission. There is no exception for a "small excerpt". It's just not worth pursuing non-commercial guys like us, but the law remains.
