I have wrestled with this concept for years. I myself am very protective over my loved ones, yet none of the men in my life seem to be able to protect me. I don't think it's fair.

So yes, I would have to say, I would like to have a man that can kick some ass and take some names!!!!

Not if he has a temper and gets angry easily or overreacts.
(I don't have that problem but have seen hot headed guys who punch a guy out for looking at his girlfriend.)
I find it makes me feel secure knowing bigrednz and I can defend ourselves if necessary.


I don't like violence, unless the situation arises where the other person is going to do bodily harm to me or mine.
People who go around beating the crap out of people are barbaric to me.
You can incapacitate a person without beating the crap out of them.
But a person has to react to the situation at hand, sometimes you just have to do what needs to be done to stop an intruder.

My husband is a Karate Instructer. I'm sure he could kick ass very well. But if I never see him use it as a defence outside the Dojo that is fine with me.
