how about a "Lit get together"??

With all the diverse individuals that post here and with all the members that exist and the extremely varied discussion boards it is too bad that something could not be done to arrange a centralized location or even regional "Lit get-togethers" so those who wish to socialize in-person and meet other posters can do so in an agreeable, safe, sane and pressure-free environment. Shadow Lane has parties and socials so does Crimson Moon and both groups have members across the US and overseas. Why can't Lit do the same?? I realize this is more of an internet board but many groups start off on the internet and grow in membership and start local or regional socials. There are a couple of web sites (like www.meetup.com) that are dedicated to regional meetings among like minded individuals.

Certainly I imagine that many of the posters here would love to meet others that post and create real time in person friendships or at least put a face and a voice with the post much more than just a photo or a nicname.

It is just a thought. . . . . . . .

Well, luvpats4unme...

I have been throughing cook outs here at my place for years now. I pretty much try to keep the Lit crowd to a equal count of guys and gals. All totalled I have had some where around 10 to 12 and they a loads of fun. Of course being a good cook is a must... But, I have meet some fantastic friends! People that I consider a part of my extended family....
