American response has been solid and substantially private, but perhaps the op. would prefer big government intervention as a cure all.

BB complained that we were ignoring his original post so I checked a couple of factual points.

1. You cannot put 2000 people on 4 planes being flown from a high altitude airport like Katmandhu: so how many Israelis really were there - answer 600, not 2000.

2. 400 of that 600 got themselves to the Israeli embassy before any relief left Israel.

3. The Nepalese army brought most of the other Israelis from outlying areas in before the Israeli help arrived.

4. The Israelis did very well to establish an emergency tent hospital very quickly. It was needed because Nepal is the go to country for Israelis seeking women to be surrogate mothers. 25 babies were the first to be evacuated, their birth mothers were refused permission to accompany them. Another 100 Nepalese women are carrying babies for Israeli families. They have been left behind for the moment but are being cared for.

5 The Israeli's, like the , Indians Chinese, Americans, Brits, French, Aussies and especially the Nepalese themselves have all done well in their rescue effort; yet BB seeks to make political capital out of a human disaster by concocting a bunch of nonsense to support an absurd agenda.
