One trip to Borders Books and I exited with:

Caleb Carr's "Killing Time"
"Castebook: Night" for the Exalted RPG.

And Diana Krall's newest CD "Live in Paris".

Total bill, just under 40 smackers.

I am one happy dude. :D

It's fantastic.

I swear that woman's voice could turn a good man bad and melt butter on ice. :)

She does have an amazing voice, I could listen to it for hours on end. :)

Oh same here. And I find her piano playing absolutely wonderful. I think she's the best since Nat King Cole. :)

And lo..for 40 I could have probably gotten six or seven lapdances at the local hooter bar. Not quality, but hey. ;)

I would love to play piano half as well as she does. I have her first two CD's, really enjoy The Look of Love. I've been meaning to get the new one, I guess I'll have to pick it up this weekend.

hmmm $40 could have got you 1 lapdance, two pitchers of watered down beer, and a 3 pack of condoms.

When you get the new one, you'll onlyneed to get two more to complete your set. ;)

I highly recommend "All for You", her tribute to Nat. If you dont' have it, you need it.

Very cool, Jimmie.

It doesn't take much to make me happy.
I think you and I can appreciate the simple things. Under 40 bucks and you're happy- that rocks. :)

Indeed, rainy, you and I are much alike.

But it isn't merely the simple things that make me happy. Sometimes the wonderfully complex and exquisite charmes me completely. :)

Great CD is right Jim...

LOVE her version of Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You":)

Just by moving 2 letters...

JazzManJim=JizzManJam

Diana Krall= Daana Krill

Krall has been packaged very well by her agents to make her look like a dish; I read an interesting article about it last year....she's no waif...and since she started dressing in monochromes and being photo'd from her good side behind pianos and Chryslers, she's become much more successful.

great pipes.
