OOC: I'm looking for just one female partner for this. The role I need is very specific. In this RP, my character has been selected to test out a new "house of tomorrow" (a la Tex Avery cartoons) in the near future. One of the features of this sophisticated future house is an android housekeeper desgined to simulate a human in every way. And I do mean every way.
The android comes with its own full wardrobe, different uniforms, and a plethora of different personality types and demeanors which the user can change at any given time via computer terminal. The android does have its own AI and is capable of functioning as an independent entity. It is simply programmed to defer to the owner of the house, whom it recognizes as master.
There is essentially no plot to this RP. It's just the two of us posting back and forth in a sort of "day in the life" scenario. Just post up an intro for yourself.
IC:
Sam hefted the last of his boxes into the living room and surveyed his new home. He had been specially selected to test out this new House of Tomorrow thingy, and the idea was pretty exciting. He looked around at the nice clean furniture and retro design. Truth be told, it was kind of cliche how modern and sterile everything looked, but it didn't bug him too much. At least it didn't look like something out of The Jetsons. That would have just been too much.
He raked a hand back through his sandy-colored hair and his green eyes turned to the instruction manual on the coffee table, just where the lab guys said it would be.
Sam picked up the manual and skipped the cutesy, sales-y intro. It was obviously nothing he hadn't already been told. The first chapter gave him the lay-out of the house. Living room, den, kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms should he have company over, recreation room, two bathrooms, media center, basement bar, in-ground swimming pool, roof-top lounge... damn, this place was pretty swanky.
The next chapter detailed the android maid. Sam had been particularly eager to see this. He walked over to a small computer terminal set into the far wall in the living room. This was supposed to be where he activated it. He punched in the activation code and entered it. For a moment, nothing happened.
Suddenly, there was a faint hiss, and seam formed in the wall beside the terminal outlining a doorway. The section of wall within the outline slide aside with a sigh, revealing the android inside.
