Is there an online translator, out there that can translate Hotmail into plain English?
My main email account is on AOL. Any emails I get from MSN Hotmail users are full of .....& n b s p .... and.....<..... and other additions that don't half spoil a good read.

Turn off the HTML message option in your HotMail.
Err, or tell them not to send it.

Actually, it sounds as if HTML IS off.

If it were on, the   would be correctly interpreted as a non-breaking space. and the test inside the <> brackets would be correctly interpreted as HTML tags.

Try the "HTML allowed" settings both ways to see which works better.

If neither setting of the HTML allowed switch clears up the problem, try saving the messages as text files and then renaming them to .HTM so you can open them with your browser -- if the HTML code is complete instead of just fragments, then it should display properly.
