I am a writer, of sorts... I have been writing, off and on for many years. I've had a dream of writing scripts for porn. I just moved to Southern California, and would like to get started. How do I go about selling my scripts to porn producers? Any advice or help would be greatful...

Um just what is it that makes porn such a great outlet for writing? Here's a typical script for you:
'There is a girl in some really skimpy clothes. She shows off her tits for a while and then for no reason a guy that you only see from the waist down comes in and she starts sucking him off.'
I'm not sure that there's a lot of demand for proper writers in porn...

Create writing samples.
Research agents in your industry (yes, they are there) and send them said writing samples.
Meet lots of friends in Century City. That's where the "magic" happens.
The porn industry is not particularly difficult to get into in LA.
(And to clarify? No. I was never a part of it. I just know several people who have been, and I used to live in LA....... sooooooooo glad to be out of that city).

I've yet to hear of "scriptwriters" for general porn. Mostly you would be looking at creating treatments and outlines, and frankly directors are going to be writing those.
Perhaps you want to look up some companies in the area and ask if they are looking for production staff. Perhaps you want to start your own production company. But like anyone who works in any part of the film industry in LA? You're going to have to network. Learn to market yourself, meet everyone you can in the industry you want to get involved in, and sell sell sell. That is really the only way.

They use scripts? I consider myself a good writer, though not professional. I would consider it an insult to be writing scripts for the porn industry. They just don't give you anything to work with. Now, if you wanted to actually forge a new direction in the porn industry, maybe you could make a difference and make quality porn - something that has never been done in the industry!
