hot to find the newest tsories in a section

hello!
i have problems with the new search form. Is it still possible, to find the newest stories in a category? if yes - how?
if i try to search (advance search) stories which were posted within the last days i don't get any results. the newest stories in seem 2 months old. can somebody help?

I am no expert but I have read that the problems in not getting any recent stories listed is an issue because the new search engine is still in BETA (that is 'test') mode.

Again from what I can work out, I may well be wrong, the new search (even advanced) does not let you search by date within category. You search on specific words, story tags or authors.

Anyway, there are two threads where this is being discussed. Try here for some background. The main thread, started by Manu is here, which is where you should ask your question and make comments.

Although I think the new search function is a great improvement, I think it would be a pity to lose the ability to search categories by date.

As I said, you need a better geek than me.
