Let me follow up to what my husband posted above and to agree with what my fellow nurses have said before I go to sleep after working third shift.

I worked in two hospitals, one a smaller hospital in a very small city in the rural Southeast. The other, in a much larger area in a more metropolitan area a little farther north, but still in a Southeastern state. In neither hospital, did I see any sexual activity between patients and nurses/doctors. Yes, there was some "flirting" and an occasional inadvertent touch, but nothing overtly sexual. In the first hospital, a very, very, very attractive young doctor came to work there. ALL of us nurses wanted him. I was young and single. So were most of my co-workers at the time.
