Howdy y'all. I haven't been around much lately due to constraints on my personal time (i.e. I have been workin my butt off and had lots of personal things taking up lots of my personal time........boo hoo...........)
Anywhoodle, I had a little oopsy yesterday whilst horseback riding. See he decided that he wanted to go, well when he went he decided he wanted to buck, well then I was bucked off.......and the rest as they say is history.
I managed to come out relatively unscathed, barring my swollen left thumb and knee, my right hand in a "soft cast" to help heal the ligament damage and a sore right hip. I am not really bitchin about it, because if you ride horses YOU WILL GET THROWN OFF sooner or later.
It was windy and one of two things happened:
a. He stepped on something
b. He smelled something in the wind and got spooked.
Needless to say I do not fault the horse, he is %99.9 a soft-gentle Stallion who wouldn't hurt you if you begged him. He did what his instincts told him to do.
Anyone been tossed off a horse before? I am just curious is all.......as I have been 'round horses most of my life in one way or another..........though I must say this is the most banged up I have been in around 8 years or so.........
(PS We have a new little foal who is 3 and 1/2 weeks old now, pretty 1/2 Qtr. Horse and 1/2 Arabian)
