Horrotica rewriting stories without crediting the source

The author, Horrotica, rewrote my story "How My Interest in CFNM Got Started" into his story "My House, My Rules."

Just compare my story published 6/4/2011 with the first part of his story published 11/26/2013.

Here are the links:

Now, I don't mind that he did a rewrite (He didn't do a half-bad job except taking it in a direction that didn't happen in real life). What bothers me and should bother all authors is that he's not crediting the original source material and publishing "his" story to other websites:

http://smallest-dick-on-earth.com/?p=3686

Other authors of the SPH/CFNM genre should check out Horrorotica's stories. A few of them seemed more than familiar when I glanced through them.

This brings up a point: Where should this plagiarism be reported? Nothing dissuades an author more from contributing stories than to see his or her other stories rewritten and published to the same website without any credit.

And, for the record, I posted a respectful comment to his story on Literotica about crediting the source -- he deleted it.

I read the first several paragraphs from both stories. For any resolution, send a PM to Laurel. Include the links for the stories the way you did here. Then be patient. This is her site and she's busy. Good luck.

Am I way off base here? Does it look like a rewrite to you?

Thanks for the tip! Will PM Laurel as you suggested.

It's your story, not mine. If you have concerns, present them to Laurel. She has the final say.

You said he deleted your comment(seems like an admission of sorts) have you tried contacting him/her through lits feedback and asking them?

In the meantime Laurel is the best bet, Put "Plagiarism" or "stolen story" in the message name and it might get her attention sooner.

It is plagiarism as far as I can see. Laurel is your best bet.

BTW I really liked your embarrassing CFNM story. Horrotica seems to have stolen your work.

At the bottom of every story, there is a button that says "Report Story". Click that button, and tell why you are reporting the story. If it's plagiarism, then give links and proof and/or a way for us to contact you for more information.

If you do this, it should be resolved with 48 hours. If not, then do PM me.

When I clicked on the "Report Story" icon it opened up the index page. All of the links and proof are in my first post starting this thread.

Sorry for being such a pain. And for the record, I don't want his story deleted -- its not a half-bad story.

But I think its fair he credit the original source.

Oh, no, Naughtyboy, if someone here is plagiarizing stories like that he/she needs to be erased. As you yourself note, you probably aren't the only one who has been victimized.

The story is already gone. The link in the first post is dead.

Unless they reach out and ask the author first. Of course that means its not plagiarism and a moot point, but figured that was worth throwing in.

I would suggest if people get permission to mention it in the beginning of the story so the authors fans don't report the story figuring it was stolen.

I have not plagiarised any story. Personally I find this character assassination rather weird. But I deny all charges. If my story was similar to the one being quoted then it was completely by accident on my part.

Yea, Lord, we have a miracle on our hands then. These comparisons jump out in just the opening paragraphs of the two. Talk about being on the same wave length.

N: My apartment building was a short walk from campus, just a few blocks.
H: My apartment complex is a short twenty-minute walk from Georgia State University.

N: The only downside was the constant visits by the church ladies.
H: The only downside to my living arrangements were the constant visits by church ladies trying to sell me their religion.

N: A friend from school told me that she got rid of the church people by answering her door naked whenever they showed up. Guaranteed me it would work.
H: A friend from College told me that she got rid of the church people by answering her door nearly naked whenever they showed up. Guaranteed me it would work.

N: “There were five churches within a 10 minute walk of the apartment building.”
H:“There are ten churches within an hours walk of my apartment building.”

NaughtyboyinCali's version was posted in June, 2011.
Horrorotica's version, erased from the author's list in the last day, was posted just a week or so ago.

fuck off won't you. I have not plagiarised this story. The similarities are by accident.

Horrotica, You sound like Charles Carreon when he was challenged by The Oatmeal. It is not character assasination, or "rapeutation", if you have actually done what they say, with evidence and proof to back it up.

By Accident.... and deleted immediately upon serious challenge? Serious denial. So, what else have you stolen and posted elsewhere to get attention you don't deserve?

Oh, look its another awesome alt! Showing up to back Pilot and speak like him!

Oh, McGoo You've done it again!!

I'm supposed to be upset that Lovecraft68 aligns himself with obvious plagiarism? :D

I don't even know what to say. You have to sell pretty hard to me to get me to jump on a bandwagon accusing someone of something like this.
But ... here it is.
I think you're ship has sunk Hor ...
*shrug*
Know when to blow, dude.
(pun intended)
Your sins have found you out for sure.

Well, if someone can't see the obvious relationships of those sentences pulled out of just the first three paragraphs of each version, I'd say they took the prize for gullibility and wishful thinking.

I have no ax to grind with Horrorotica, but reeaalllly.

A couple of points. I did not look at the 2 stories, but looking through Pilot's examples that is way to much t be coincidence.

My other point is the link I posted is to a thread about erasing stories and the defendant is in it saying "Yes, that is what Laurel told me" so he has looked into erasing stories perhaps after the OP commented on his story that it was stolen.

Another point is Laurel is in this thread, she has read it. If the defendant remains on this site then that means she has chosen to not be concerned with it. Whether that is right or not I'm not sure, but it means our opinions are not going to matter. It would just be a shame of this was allowed with no consequence.

Want to also make a point to give Mistresslynn credit for being classy here. She said she read the story (and it is obvious from the examples) but twice simply urged the op to go to Laurel without hurling accusations at the other author. Very classy.
