I started my intersession class today: I have concluded that Mac OS 9.2 is really just an alien virus instilled into paperweights that look like computers to frustrate all of mankind into throwing them out the window. I have to take this EDCI class for technology. Christ, I could teach the class! Anyway, I did all of the assignments for the class today, I just hate that the lab is all Macs. I think Mac must have some sort of contract with schools. Then I checked my email and dinked around looking for up-and-coming artists, and made oragami owls with the people sitting near me. We had a contest to see which owl looked more like the instructor: I lost.

So... let's all go to the love shack, because I've got time. Actually, a trip to the Bahamas sounds pretty good right now. I think it got up to 18 F here.

Macs do have a deal worked out with education. Be damned if I can remembe the details. I don't even know if it is still the case. Used to be that you couldn't walk into a classroom without find an old Mac stashed in a corner unused.

Sorry, but I can not stand to see a post that no one has responded to. Makes me feel bad for the poster, unless it is one of the jerks running around the board.

Ms. Myst is certainly not one of the jerks.

Another B52 referance, and another day that song will buzz around me feeble mind.

hey Myst. Do you mind me asking a question? Maybe I have been out of touch too much. But what is an intercession class? is it what it sounds like? And, if I am not being too personal here.
What are you going to school for?

*dancing through thread humming

Love shack, babyyyyy. Looking for the Love shack. *

Yep! Courses suck when you know enough to teach them. It is difficult to stay motivated when you dont' feel like you are gaining anything.

Hang in there. At least intercession isn't as long as a full semester. :)

I'll only hop in your Chrysler if you promise to drive me to My Own Private Idaho.

I think it was the title...

If the title doesn't grab attention right away, the thread dies off.

tech challenged

Myst--

I can't make an informed response. I'm tech-challenged. I take the classes and make sure that refreshers are available because it takes me a couple of times for it to sink in. LOL

My s/o gets so frustrated with me because I have a caddy pc and I don't use half the widgets. ;) Oh, but I had to have the baby fully loaded. One day I will know how to drive her, by that time of course, I'll be eyeing the newest model.

Whatcha gonna do? LOL

Peace,

daughter

I do not understand why you are using a hamburger in a computer class? How big is that whale anywho?

Intersession is the course between semesters for us hardcore people. It's about 2 weeks long, 3 hours a day, which will give me 2 credits, I believe. I'm going to school to be a teacher! Even though I practically already am one. I just have to get that piece of paper to prove it. Spring semester starts on the 16th. Sorry about the B52 reference, I was listening to the 80s station.

Hey Bean! How're you on this lovely bitter cold morning?

Freezin my beans off. Plus getting a nasty cold. :(

Otherwise just fine.

poor thing

Its not the flu with me, but the kind where I'll lose my voice. Most people will love that though. Come under the bankie with me?

Hehehe... I have REALLY cold feet, you'll screech. I love laryngitis. It's kind of fun. I've only had it once, though. I'll drink lots of water and flush that darned bug right out of my system. It works, you know!

Ok Ok.....I'm drinking tea right now. always drink water.

Hmm... if it's uncaffeinated, it's okay. It's the caffeine that dehydrates you. If you can replenish your electrolytes, you'll be better. Try gatorade, too, if water makes you feel icky. Sometimes water irritates my throat even more.

yes
