I posted a new story a couple of days ago to rather confusing response.

The first votes it received were 1's. Then the score shot up, so I'm guessing it got a few 5's. Now it has crept up to 3.43 and slowly rising, so someone must like it.

It's a good story, obviously the two participants care deeply for each other. That may be the reason the surprise twist at the end turned some voters off. To be honest, I wouldn't have read it if it was in the other category (don't want to give anything away), simply because that isn't where my interests lie. However, having followed your link, I did read it and I can recognize the strong points even though it is outside the scope of my normal interests. Remember however, that some people hate surprises and may have felt misled or mad that it was in the category under which it was posted. Just my thoughts. They may not be right but they're mine!

Sorry if my response is convoluted. I didn't want to give anything away.

And your convoluted 'non-spoiler' train of thought was very considerate - thanks for that!

I love twist in the tail endings and while I accept that they don't always fit comfortably in erotica, I can't resist throwing one in now and again.
