Homemade Lube Ideas?

Look in the kitchen, not the garage for lubes -- lubes found inthe garage are usually petroleum based and are toxic. Lubes found in the Kitchen are at least edible.

The Greeks and Romans managed quit well using Butter, Lard, Olive Oil, and other vegetable oils. I would suggest Olive Oil or Crisco because they're unsalted -- butter and Lard often have salt added.

If you're worried about infection, you can "pasteurize" your lube before using by heating it in the microwave and then letting it cool before use.

Water based are far better though they are made for making dildo's cocks and fingers super slippery.

Natural lube is great but few women can stand up to a 2-3 hour sex session without some help.

The chances of irritating vaginal tissues and increasing the risk of infection of all types are higher without a lot of lubrication.

If anyone has not used Astroglide or KY. Or similar water based lube run don't walk to the drugstore or supermarket. Your sex will imporve greatly.

I can go more then three hours on natural lube if the guy seriously knows what he is doing.


As for vasiline, how you ever tried to wash that shit off??

I agree with EE regarding Vaseline. You're almost better scraping that stuff off. It takes some work trying to get that stuff off. I guess I'm just too much of a fan of the store bought lubes specifically made for such purposes and afterwards the convenience factor of an easy clean up.

While I'm sure the cooling oils & such work just fine, again...the cleaning up afterwards is just tougher than the water based lubes.

I'm sorry we couldn't help with the immediacy of this request for quick homemade lubes, but I guess it's a lesson to always have something on hand. Is it time to stock up on Astroglide or KY??

I don't doubt that you can do without lube. I do agree about the vasiline as well as the other petroleum based products being a very poor substitute for water based products.

Water based products do not stain clothing or bed clothes and they will wash off with soap or enough water completely.

Emerald have you used any of these water based products?

I have used KY and astroglide both before. Only 1-2 times for regular sex.


I usually only neeed that for.....ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm, *cough* anal sex

Just stick with the store bought stuff made for sex. Never use anything that has sugar in it!!!! A Dr. told me thats asking for trouble!!

By the way do not buy astroglide from an adult store, they ususally rip you off on the price. Most drugstores have it for half the price.

After saying that I did notice Astroglide gel at the adult store. It is the only place I have seen it. Anybody make any recommendations for Astroglide gel?
