"Hey Babe!"
Sgt. Kendall "Kenny" Jackson sat in a tiny nondescript room hunched close to his laptop, looking at the grainy video window showing the most beautiful sight possible. His childhood sweetheart.
"I'm afraid it's bad news. Division says it's pretty hot right now and they don't think they can let me come home right now."
Kenny sat back in the folding chair and ran a hand over his close cropped hair. He wore Marine fatigues, the dusty shirt open, the desert tan t-shirt stretched across his muscular chest showing a slight 'v' of sweat at the neckline.
"I can't believe I'm stuck here half way across the world. I just want to be with you right now."
