Ok, so I make floggers - at the moment, only for people that I know personally, because that's all that I have contact with thus far. I'm looking for a place where I can put a site up (preferably for free, since we are still rather poor at the moment ... ) but the floggers are boarderline acceptable for a lot of the restrictions that free sites have. Does anyone know of a place that I can set up shop, so to speak?

It depends on how you want to go about selling them over the net. If you just want to put up pics with prices and have people call or email you to arrange payment, then that should be easily done and I can point you in a free directions.

If your looking to accept credit cards or paypal....(basically any online payment) then you will need a ecommerce shopping cart of sorts.

Here is what I recommend:

You can go to www.google.com and type in oscommerce and you will find alot of hosts that add the ecommerce shopping cart into the hosting. What I mean by that is, you pay like $60.00 a year to host your website, and they include the free OSCommerce software.

It is fairly easy to use and gives you options for payments. If you want to avoid having to get a merchant account for your business, you can use just you paypal or COD, Checks. Most hosting will have "Shared SSL" as well. You will definately want a host that offers this option as this is what makes pages on a website go secure. If they don't offer it, it will cost you around $160.00-$300.00 per year depending on what SSL cert you get.

Your total investment going this way would be -

$15.00 to register a domain name
$12.00 (on average per month) for hosting.
Email - Free
Shared SSL certificate - Free
Your Time

The above prices do not include accepting creditcards except through paypal. To accept credit card require a little more cost and you have to have both an online merchant payment gateway as well as a merchant account for your business. This is why I recommend not to go this route unless yor sure yor going to make a good amount of money to pay for these services.

You can try ebay. They were on a kink unfriendly bend for a while. But I did a search for flogger and found 167. And I'm sure a Lit gathering would love to have you if there is one in your area.

e-bay's policy is about to change (if it hasn't already) so that you are charged for each item put up, whether or not it sells ... plus a charge for anything that does sell. And I would like to have them custom made to whatever the person buying it wants.

I don't know of any lit gatherings in our area, but I do advertize through a few of the local munch groups ... but have only sold a few that way. I actually have more luck selling them to my online friends (here and on yahoo). That's why I'm hoping to get a site set up so that I can send people there and not worry about having to send the pics and messing with all of that.

If you only need a site to show your floggers I know a free server that you can use, but you aren't allowed to make any money of anything you put there. So you can't put up a webshop, but a gallery of your floggers and a small note that they can contact you for more information would be ok.

Ooohh... I've been there before - and hadn't thought about it ... but again, I'm looking to make them custom to what the buyer wants, so I'm looking for a site that I can actually put up.

I appreciate the other suggestions as well, I'm thinking about taking the money from one flogger that I already have ordered and purchasing a domain so that I don't have to worry about it anymore. That would probably be easiest, huh?

I think so. Actually, I think you'd be most successfull doing both. Make some and sell them on ebay and fetish auctioneer, saying that you also make custom floggers with a link to your site. I know of at least one seller, micronack, who does that, but his stuff isn't customized.

I am not nearly as masochistic as other submissives... and i think you need a small introduction to what a little pain does to an aroused body. But everyone is different....
