22 year old

from New York City, born and raised in Manhatan, she finished college and will be starting working in the family business after a short holiday. Introverted as she is, she was convinced by a friend to try out a service that offered free holidays to young people as long as they offer good compagny to rich people who do not want to travel alone.

32 year old

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Alex was a financially stable freelance artist and experienced backpacker who found it very difficult finding a free-spirit willing to get up and go and see the world and have as much fun and learning as possible.

As she entered the starbucks she took a big breath to calm her nerves. Even after Cindy had shared her experience with this, she couldn't help but being a little nervous. Her friend had told her about how awesome the cruize had been for her, and how the man she had accompagnied, had been a great guy to hang out it. ( He was gay and didn't feel like comming out of the closet yet, so used this service to cover) Megan still had some healthy scepticism on the matter. It did help that the compagy who arraged this let her pic the first meeting spot.

Smiling at James, her regular barrista, she put up two fingers to signal to double her order, ( two venti caramel latte's) and paid for them before taking a seat close to the window. She was a good fifteen minutes early but this way she would have time to relax a little before the stranger walked in.

Alex respected time. Besides being punctual, he always figured it would set a good impression to be early, and thought it was real cool that Cindy was already there. Kindred spirit?

He was amazed that he found someone who was willing to travel with a stranger, which put his initial fears of a no-show to rest and walked in.

"Megan? Hi, I'm Alex."

Megan was a little startled as she was approached by a young athletic looking man. She had not expected to be early for this meeting and he definitely did not look like she Imagined. Luckily her awkwardness was covered up by James bringing their coffees. She stood up and shook the man's hand.

"Hi, hope you have a sweet tooth too."

Sitting back down trying to hide her nerves she pulled out her tablet to open the app that would guide their conversation and help set up the contract if they decide to go for it.

"So did you too have to answers hours of questionairs, or is that only on our side of the table?"

She asked as she wonderedif the customers were as highly vetted as she had been for this.

"Actually, I just put an ad up on Craigslist, and then a 3rd party must have intervened to pocket some money for themselves. Do you want to vet me?"

Mandy's first reaction was pure schock. And her face betrayed that emotion. But then she slowly relaxed and figured he must be joking. After all the agency was way too thorough in her vetting process to just be a random 3de party.

"I see I should not have checked the has to have a sense of humour box."

She said as she started the app and tapped on the First meeting tab. After a short loading screen it showed a short question and slide 1/10. (Introduce yourselves)taking a dreading breath she said.

"I am Mandy, 22 and I just graduated from NYU with a economy masters. I love sports and before joining the ranks of our family business, we design and fabricate commercial signs, I wanted to see a bit of the World as the furthest I went from Manhattan was long Island"

"Sense of humor is a must" he said, wishing he could have come up with a friendly joke. He noticed everyone except himself using a tablet, a laptop, a phone, and couldn't wait until he was away from it all.

"Look, there's a lot of scavengers out there looking for a situation to make money. They probably read your description and thought, 'easy money'. But that's not too important. I'm not gonna go on an apology tour for men, because I only represent myself, but I understand you might have certain cautions about a man you don't know, being in a country you don't know. This isn't some coercion tactic - I'm generally curious about people, especially a stranger such as yourself. I'm a good, fun guy. Besides, you have a return-ticket back on stand-by, but I think you'll really enjoy this. "
