I've known some families who open one, or more, or all of their presents the night before, but you're the first I ever heard of doing it in the middle of the day before.

I got two rings and I got an official on-her-knees marriage proposal (we've been engaged). I got a stunning, sparkly necklace with an opal in the center, and I got two bracelets. I'm good. The real fun starts tomorrow morning when the littlest Amazon wakes up and opens her loot.

My brother gave Mr Penn and myself a Keurig coffee maker. We opened it tonight so everyone could have after-dinner coffee. Or in the case of myself and PennBro (who lives in Texas), hot chocolate (neither of us drink coffee).

We're looking forward to tomorrow when PennBro presents PennGirl with her much-desired, much-anticipated Rainbow Unicorn Dream Lite.

620-count sheets from Mom. Oh, that'll be nice. Also from Mom and Dad (but let's face it, Mom) a set of measuring cups -- shaped like Russian matrioshki, the nesting dolls.

Assorted other things.

Mr. Penn seemed very pleased with his Firefly t-shirt and -- more importantly -- an assortment of beer from my parents. Beer is a PITA to buy in PA.

'Monty Pythons Flying Circus; Complete and Annotated' book. This beauty contains the scripts for every skit ever performed by the troupe with notes, asides, behind the scenes stuff and hundreds of illustrations by Terry Gilliam and tons of photos. It must weigh 20 lbs.

Some Guy Harvey T-shirts which are blazingly colorful and have color pictures of Tropical, freshwater and blue water fish on them. I wear them all the time.

A new wallet and some other stuff.

Its been a good day

I got about thirty five pounds of stained glass, some solder and some foil. Got a new watch, a one terabyte military grade portable hard drive, and a new DeWalt cordless drill

I got a paperwhite kindle. The one with wifi and 3g. Now, if I could only tell it apart from the one without 3g I ordered by mistake, I'd be able to play with it.

I got a mini-fridge for my dorm, a gamer chair for my dorm,

And the most amazing butter-soft leather bomber-jacket. squee!!!

It's so warm, and it smells so nice and it looks so good!!

My old shitty winter jacket is definitely going out the window.
