I've got about 44 kids under 13 to buy Christmas/Solstice/other Holiday gifts for. Mainly the wish lists thus far have contained one overwhelming theme, HARRY POTTER and only Harry Potter. Unfortunately, with all the other adults having bought them the merchendise/ books/ movie passes, I'm hanging for gifts. I've got some gifts bought, but I'm out of Ideas:( and I need to get these gifts off soon so they will get there before the Holidays. Any Ideas? Please?

I've got a couple of series of books that I'm sending the ones who I know are avid readers. The Biggest problem I face in this is that about 30 of these kids are my family, and I love them dearly, but I don't get to see them more than once or twice a year, so I don't know their current tastes.
The Book series I'm sending to the ones that I know are book worms are:
The Narnia Chronicles
LOTR
The Just So Stories
The Books of Tamara Pierce
The Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes cartoon anthologies

Try "Lord of the Rings" (Movie just out), or "Sword of Shannara." if the kids are into wizards and such!

LOTR- Lord of the Rings

and Thank you both for the suggestions, I'm trying to do my shopping online for the giftwrap and shipping, so book suggestions are great.

For the girls on your list, Bath and Body works has a kids line of products that are all sparkly and girlie. I think they are all about $6 and under. Old Navy also has these cool stocking stuffer ornaments that have a different theme to them, one is nails, and has nail stuff, lips, ect. Cute, and not really junky make-up, since you said the kids are young. I think these are about $5. As for boys.......I have no idea, I come from an all girl family!

Gift certificates are generally considered a wimp-out, however...

I usually get both of my granddaughters a Barnes & Noble gift card. It's like giving them a credit card of their very own and teaches them a litte about money management as well.

(My Granddaughters are ages 4 and 7.5)

The bubble bath idea is a good one.

One neat thing to do, is maybe get each kid an ornament with the year on it, and start a tradition for each year. You can get dated ornaments ANYWHERE right now, and there are TONS of them, including harry potter ones. Barbie, Veggie Tales, Disney, Looney Tunes... just about anything you can imagine. Not only do they get a gift, it is one they will be able to keep and hang on the tree every year.

What about ebay.com ...they are brillant on there , I use ebay.co.uk ..... i find them very good .....plenty of choice aswell , and you can buy on line and get it posted to the person concerned ....you can even email the seller and ask them to wrap in christmas paper, well I have in England and the person was most helpfull ....and said they would ......so well worth a try Ladydarkfire......

Thank you all so much. I used the suggestion for Bath and Body works as a planner for the little girls who are more into the feminine side (we have alot of tomboys in our family) and the mother of 4 out of those 8 said that it was perfect. Gilly, you actually hit a suggestion that is a family tradition. Each gift for a child in the family includes one ornament, one hand made item (this year their each getting a croched chennile scarf from me) and one actual gift. Ebay is next on my site hopping. Thanks again! I might just survive Holiday shopping without having to brave the Stoneridge mall this year (an hour drive and scarily busy).
