Hobbits?

I am considering writing a story using hobbits. Is this just sicker than words or would there be any interest?

I have some good Hobbits, and some bad Hobbits. No real sick Hobbits that I know of.
I always make a hobbit of brushing my teeth before I go to bed. Certainly it is a good Hobbit to floss as well.


Fantasy stories have their place. Personally I do not see the sexual desire for a Hobbit. Just like I never got wood from playing Lemmings either.

Maybe you should place the idear more around little people. Maybe a recluse dwarf who is discovered by a teenage girl and together they have little talk, little games, little tea parties, little peek-a-boo of a little man.

Yes I even remeber the names of the towns you resided in my precious little young elder lady. Hey your only like 10 years younger than I, blink twice and you will be here too.

Or just talk to a Hobbit maybe his magical ring can send you to old age? Just becarefull of his little dagger. {(Get your mind out of the gutter!) or at least invite me over next time I am in the neighborhood. }

I don't know if it's sick or not, it dosen't bother me, but Hobbits are the creation of one author and I don't know i using them would be like a fan fic where you need to credit him with inventing them.

Lemmings? Lemmings are little rodents that according to legend just up and run off of cliffs in large groups to drown in the sea every so often.

It'd definitely be fanfic if the story involved specific hobbits from the books/movies. But there have been enough role-playing games over the years based on LOTR that a story about other hobbits (and hobbit-derivatives, such as AD&D halflings, Dragonlance kender, Nelwyns, etc.) might not necessarily be true fanfic, just game-related fic.
