I've tried several hobbies in my 53 yrs, scrapbooking, crochet, jewelry making. My next challenge is......*drum roll*

Cross Stitch.

Does anyone here cross stitch? Ever tried? Wanna try?

What is everyones hobbies? I know y'all heathens have to have other interests besides Lit. Tell me. I really am interested. I'm serious.

I know Rightguide has a motorcycle.

I would think masturbation is a hobby just about everyone enjoys, but very few would list on their résumé! ;)

Motorcycles. I've been riding for 53 years. I've ridden over 450,000 miles on two wheels. Admittedly, I'm addicted and can't stop.

Fishing. I have a 19' fishing boat and do a lot of fishing, crabbing and shrimping with my grandson.

Forging. I recently built myself a forge and am in the process of making my first blade: a Damascus steel Roman Gladius sword for my son.

Writing. I've written a lot of erotic stories over the years and am now in the process of writing a couple of non-erotic short stories to see if I can break into that market and make some money.

I've had many others over the years, but that's what fills my time these days.

Nice thread pink.

Currently I'm breeding tulips and clownfish....keeping gardens and aquariums of several kinds each.

Also my lawn....that mother fucker is tightest I've ever had so far and my stripes are so crispy this year.

It's really all different shades of the same hobby.

Shit talking on the GB and DCS flight simulator, regularly do both at the same time.

Right now I'm angels 20 in a Tomcat escorting a bunch of hornets about to go bomb the shit out of AntiFa/BLM held Seattle......fuckers have MiG 29''s and F-16's.

Got 1 mid air refuel in about 8 min.......then another 14 to target.

Then it's commie killin' time

I use to cross stitch and actually my husband is better than I am at it. We have many and just stopped. Now I like to read and work with pictures. Scrap booking but also really looking at ancestry.:rose:

bobo, you forever lying fuck. unless your name is mark and you own https://plantforsuccess.com/lawn-care , that lawn you posted ain't even yours.

(here comes the "I never said it was MY lawn in the pic!")

No it's not, and I didn't claim it was. You already knew that.

It is however an example of how I keep it.

I'd never post a pic of my personal spot, people would be able to figure out where I live if I did.

Yep. Lance did that.

Hobbies: my dogs, fostering dogs when needed.
Home stuff, whatever makes my house nice. Everything from cooking, to gardens to decorating.
Reading.
Outside stuff, love the ocean.
Shopping. My dream job would be a personal shopper.

my mother in law enjoys a bit of cross stitching. it's good to have hobbies

mine: creating things... from reimagining furniture to garden projects, cooking, watercolour painting, home decorating, knitting/crochet/sewing/embroidery to reading, writing, crosswords, taking snaps with my phone cam, finding things out, oh, loads of stuff. NOT all at the same time and my days of gymnastics/swimming/trampolining/badminton and riding have all fallen by the wayside for the less physically energetic.

currently, i'm dabbling again with watercolours after 15 or 20 years, maybe even longer, where i'm not writing poetry so much right now. it's too bloody hot to do much outdoors.

I love to read.
I get a great deal of pleasure spending active time with my grandsons.

Also, I purchased a very expensive, powerful rifle with a scope a couple of years ago and am at the point now where I'm a fairly good shot at what some might consider incredible distances.
I tested my skill late last year, causing a fiery crash on an interstate highway that involved three vehicles and killed 8 people.
All with one well placed bullet.
No one suspected a thing.
I don't know if that qualifies as a hobby because I only did it once.
What do you guys think? Hobby or just a one-off?

Hobbies:

I've been shooting darts for a number of years. Used to play in the Minuteman Dart League in Boston but time prevents me from doing that anymore. Played in a few tournaments and did okay. Made it to the quarterfinals a few times (128 contestants).

I refinish furniture and sell it on occasion but mostly I admire my work and wind up keeping it. Lol

I play tennis in the morning after work. Not a lot of people playing in my area at that time so I play against the wall. The wall always wins. :)

I wouldn't call this a hobby but I volunteer at a few animal shelters. I love animals and don't mind doing the dirty work that the kitty's require. I get to walk the dogs, although my own dog doesn't appreciate that.

I invest in real estate and really enjoy learning about refurbishing old houses. Maybe someday I can do a show like Rehab Addict.

I had planned on retiring at the age of 40 and becoming an American Picker. I'm actually 4 years ahead of schedule financially and I believe I'll be able to retire in 27 months at the age of 36.

I like most anything working with my hands. I haven't done any custom body-work in years, but just recently, I decided to take a spoon and a body hammer to the ridge that frames the badge on the nose. Came out pretty good. The ridge is gone, the nose is just rounded now. I may heat shrink it eventually to take that rounded bulge out, but only if I'm painting it anyway.

I like anything mechanical, especially vintage power tools and electronics.

I like wood-working I havent done anything in a long tine.

I like thrifting, and like to fix or repurpose things. I'll spend more than something is worth on supplies to refurbish it. Last major project was a reproduction colonial claw and ball dining table. The effort would have been "worth it" if it were a real one, but I got a lot of satisfaction out of it. There is this mid century style of dressers that usually comes pickle finished. I like to take those down to bare wood. Arguably worth more original, but I like the simple lines and hate the finish and I don't care how they did it 50-60 years ago.

I've been collecting mid-century landscape oil paintings lately. That may be a hoarding thing. I believe that several of them are worth many times what I paid and the object was too flip them but I can't decide on any I want to get rid of. I don't buy them unless I like the scene.

I learned cross stitch and crocheting when I was a kid. Aside from teaching it to my own, I've not done it in years.

Making all natural soaps and massage oil is a favorite pastime and sometimes I will sell it around the holidays.

I love sewing! I love being able to see something I like on the internet or store and make it without a pattern. Piecing quilts and hand quilting them makes for some relaxing moments, but not in the desert heat.

Sweet...I've been collecting old tools and electric drills (Skil) at yard sales and rummage sales for awhile now. Even replaced the brushes in one to get it to work correctly.

No cross-stitching for me. But, I have plenty to do. There are always chores at the cabin, things to build, wood to split, beer to drink, etc. I try to get some daily exercise, ride one of my bikes, do some xc skiing, do some hiking. I build a few items in the woodshop and I've just procured plans for a small-ish lake sailboat to build once I've prefinished the floor to my cabin. Perhaps I'll be sailing a bit next summer.

I've got some early Craftsman in blue before they went with red. I have a Powercraft jigsaw the Montgomery Wards house brand.

The neighbor next door built a boat in his garage. I was instructed to leave him alone so he could get his work done. He would ask me to "help" him with some task. I was always torn between obeying my parents and helping out a neighbor that obviously needed a second pair of hands.

It was in these early years that I learned a skill that would help me my entire career in the fabrication industry. It is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

That lawn looks like tartan!

The stripes look cool. A little show boaty for me but to each his own.

The lawn is a cross between a chore and a hobby. Looks nice when finished. The house falls into the same category. Both have been getting more attention during all the isolation.

My other hobby is tits.

And there ya have it, my exact assertion confirmed.

Thank you, sir! :D

As for me...reading, golf, foodie-ish, tinkering around the house
