"Hotmail Will Close

If you use Hotmail send this message to all of those who use hotmail, on the contrary the owner of hotmail (Jon Henerd) will delete your mail from here. Hotmail is overloading, we need to save people from their account being deleted, and we also need to know who are the actual users that are actually using their accounts from Hotmail. So, if you are a user, please send this e-mail to all those whom you can but if you don’t pass this on to anyone your account will be deleted from hotmail. Thank for your cooperation, Mr. Jon Henerd Depar tment of Administration of Hotmail. We are suffering a mockery in the the crazed accounts of the e-mails. The consequences sustained are:

1. No more space other than 1 MB of the space on the hard drive.

2. No more than 20 contacts in your address book.

3. You will have to at least re-establish a copy of this email to at least 10 people so that the system can compress your existence and your participation in this.

If the requests asked aren’t being done then in less then 7 days your account will be cleaned out and eliminated from the system.

Sorry for the bother.

Thanks for your advice, I think I might juz iggy it, lol...

Unusual to only get 1 response on this sub though, oh well...

Besides even if this wasn't a hoax (very slim chance) and they close your account, who cares? Hotmail is free. Just open up another new account under the same name you had before.

Hopefully this won't be considered spamming..

This is a great place to look to see if the latest email you got has you concerned about hotmail, or viruses or the Neiman Marcus cookie recipe. Hoaxes are set up in alphabetical order, so it's easy to navigate. Check it out and see what you can find. I imagine you could probably even email them about this one, if you can't find an answer there.

There are also some pretty funny Urban Legends there. Very entertaining site. Hope this helps you some!

thanks nefty... although I didn't see a response to my question on this site....

It is a hoax.

NAME: Hotmail Account hoax

The message below is a hoax:

Dear Hotmail User,

Because of the sudden rush of people signing up to Hotmail, it
has come to our attention that we are vastly running out of
resources. So, within a month's time, anyone who does not
receive this email with the exact subject heading, will be
deleted off our server.

Please forward this email so that we know you are still using
this account.

There is also other versions of this hoax that propagate as a JPEG image of a page that looks like a letter or message from Microsoft.

If you receive any of these messages or similar please do not pass it on. Microsoft has better ways to inform customers than rely on people forwarding a message from them.

I found this at this site. I have it bookmarked for whenever I get something that I think might be a hoax.
