been sitting here for about half an hour trying to come up with a catchy opener, but this morning I became a bossa nova addict, and nothing is as it was

Love em!
Thank you.
Love this stuff.
I mean everybody know the girl from ipanema, but I had no clue who the girl was who sang it.
Oh. Astrud Gilberto.
Oh. Bossa Nova.
It's been a wonderful day.
Astrud Gilberto

This is a great one from Astrid that I remember being popular when I was a kid. And then they used it on Mad Men (one of my obsessions), and I remembered how much I like it.

Oh dear that made my ears object!
*Collects blankie and retires to my usual seat by the fireplace and thinks nostalgic thoughts, skirting around and past the stressful ones*

Lucky for you hmmnmm didn't say he loves klezmer music. :D:kiss:

sounds like a cuisine which ingredients are 'you don't want to know'

LOL. It's basically the folk music of Eastern European Jewish culture. And given that you are currently in love with the bossa nova and that klezmer involves a fiddle, clarinet *and* an accordion, I won't burden this thread with it!

okay I'm listening to some Barcelona Gipsy Klezmer Orchestra. Tell Annie to cover her ears, because, hm, I like it!

I've always had a rather wide latitude concerning music.
Just a matter of exposure. Mood factors in the mix too. Atmosphere.... which swings us around to that earlier thing about discovery.

since we last met I have to say I've developed kind of a schoolboy kind of infatuation with Astrud. If a genie ever comes out of a bottle I'm going to ask to go back the mid 60s and be Astrud's puppy dog.

in other news: well, it's about the same as always.
