I got my wife a Hitachi Magic Wand for her birthday.

Actually, the Wand is only responsible for just a very few "mind blowing" orgasms. It sits in the drawer by my bed and is only brought out when I need to cum NOW! Not that I've ever seen...

I've only seen the plug-in version and I don't think they make a cordless version. I consider that one of the advantages since you don't need batteries. The cord is short though so I use an extension cord to the nearest outlet.
