(4) Captured Amazons must fight in the arena to amuse jaded Romans. They revolt during the exhibition, overthrow the guards, and escape to start a revolution. Of course, the warrior sisterhood invokes lesbian bonding to strenthen their commitment to fighting unit cohesion.
(5) Gladiators doomed to fight in the arena are granted one last night with a maiden. One young man is accidentally paired with his long-lost sister. Pitying his plight, the young woman gives herself to her virginal brother.
(6) Siblings and their spouses are compelled by the crazed emperor to attend a banquet which turns into an orgy. Along with adulterous fornication, the siblings experience bisexual sex for the first time. Finally, the brother and sister find themselves with each other in the midst of the orgy. Wow, what amazing ideas. The Romans were quite a sexual culture (esp. during Caligula's perversion), so the sky is really the limit for any genre of an erotic story.

The story that really sparked my interest in historical/slave romances (discussed on a previous thread) was from MaxSebastian called "Out of the Lion's Mouth " which cleverly (and erotically) romantized the master/slave relationship.

oh, what about this idea:

back then, the Gladiators had to fight in the Colosseum, until their death, while thousands watch them.

However: One day, this one roman senator or emperor finds out that his wife is cheating.

To punish his wife really bad, he puts her in the middle of the Colosseum. And then, all the Gladiators (maybe like 20 to 40) have to fuck/rape her right in front of this big audience. Most/all of the Gladiators where prisoners, so of course they had no sex while they were in prison. And now they get the chance to fuck this good looking, mature woman ..... I guess many would have no problem with the rape ....
Overall, this could be a new kind of punishment.

And to add some incest: Maybe this guy also has a nice young daughter. He would love to fuck her, so he starts to flirt with her (he doesn't care about incest so he doesn't hide his lust for her). One day, he gives her an ultimatum: Either she has sex with her own father, or she will be gangraped/gangbanged in the middle of the Colosseum ..... by 60 guys. Not exactly the same, but I remember I once saw a movie (from the middle ages) on tv, where a woman was officially punished because she commited a crime. Her punishment was: She was raped by 30 guys .... She was laying on a bed and this 30 guys where standing in line.
I still remember how the woman screamed during the rapes .... what a sick movie .....

One barbaric costume I know they had was that no woman must die a virgin, or that would bring great misfortune over Rome. Now imagine if a group of soldiers are ordered to kill a "traitor's" whole family, including his little daughters... I suppose getting killed afterwards was a relief for the poor girls.

As I'm rather against cruelty and rape, especially with young people, I could think of a more humanitarian and romantic story here. Say that the daughter of the "traitor" is 18, and for some reason unmarried (in old Rome, she would be considered an old spinster by that age, as girls got married off at very young age). The soldier who is ordered to rape and kill her can't bring himself to do that, so instead, he makes her hide, and then he tells his officer that he has raped and killed her, and then later on, he comes back to her house and they run away together...

I just made a suggestion, I am not into rape or anything like that.

Also, I think it's different, if you can hear the screams of the woman through the tv, or if you just read about it. And, I remembered the movie, after I wrote my whole reply - so I didn't wanted to erase everything.


However, the idea with the soldier, hiding the virgin is also good.

A very similar idea: Just think about the Holocaust in the 3rd Reich. More or less, it was the same. A special type of human (jews or virgins) was hunted, tortured and killed.
I guess, something like this also happened in the 3rd Reich. I mean, not every soldier was a fascist or an anti semit. So maybe a soldier finds this beautiful jewish girl and he wants to rescue her.

Just a few days ago, I saw a movie (can't remember if it was "Schindlers List" or not) where a group of soldiers searched for some people (I think the movie was from WW2 so I think they where searching for jews). One of the soldiers opened a door and he looked right into the face of a young woman. I still remember that both of them were very shocked.

From further away, his boss screamed "have you found anyone ?" and he yelled back "No, here is nobody, everything is empty - let's go home"

When I think about it: This could become a real love story. I mean, before he closes the door again, he gives her some bread and whispers to her that she should wait here - he will come back later at night and rescue and hide her.

Yeah o.k. that wasn't exactly about the ancient rome, but just change the time settings and it works ....

Regarding recent post about the required taking of virgins before they could be slain, this was depicted in the "I, Claudius" miniseries on Masterpiece Theater (and in the books by Robert Graves)...one of the emperor's young daughters had to be raped before being executed. Lots of historical acts cannot be factually portrayed on Lit. because of the age of the participants/victims. Yet, this remains documented historical fact. (just as one cannot portray accurately the age of young men and women who married much younger than in our current society even though they did so with full approval of society...including American society in the not-so-distant past).
