Oy. It's a slow day.

Cheri mentioned Sarte on another thread, wondering what he'd make of the Internet. I tried to come up with a funny user name for him, but I couldn't, but I did think of a few other historical personalities that would dig the web, and what their puerile handles would be:

George Washington: SleepsAnywhere
Charlie Chaplin: LittleTramp
Babe Ruth: SultanOfTwat
Jesus of Nazareth: MakeYouSeeGod
Cleopatra: BiteMyAsp
Alexander the Great: AlexanderTheGreat

and

Sigmund Freud: MotherFucker

so.. there's Jesus Christ, Jesus Payne, Jesus Dixon, and Jesus Martinez...
what's next?!?

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Isn't that the starting line-up of the Dominican Republic's national baseball team??LOL

Dixon, I am flattered. I didn't think anybody read my ramblings. Heck, I couldn't even get a rise out of Jeff when I commented on his picture. So to mark this auspicious occasion, I hauled out some old college texts and came up with a few handles...
Ben Franklin: DarkMeat
Emily Dickinson: ShyGirl
Jack Kerouac: Roadrunner
Ernest Hemingway: Malboroman
Anais Nin: Boredhousewife
Sarte: Cipher
Aristotle: DrKnow
Picasso: DaBull
Virginia Woolf: Edgygrrl
John Calvin: he'd be too busy protesting to get on here and read this filth
Still thinking about Socrates, Shakespeare and Mozart.

He is my favourite little thinker of all time. He was a French philosopher and novelist who was born around the turn of the century and died about 20 years ago. He was a socialist and maintained that Classical Marxism and Existentialism were complimentary in their critique of society and the aim to express political liberty and the freedoms inherent in human nature - he wrote mostly on whether or not man is indeed a 'free spirit' or whether there in fact is no such thing as 'free will' at all, but rather a predetermined existence.

He was truly a great mind. He also wrote many short stories. if you can your hands on anything that he wrote then I am sure that you'll find it a real treat.

I could have sworn it was spelt "Sartre". I am familiar with him but thought that "Sarte" was perhaps someone else.

I too enjoyed his work Slut_Boy.

Or How About These...

How, by the way, how's ya butt Flaggman? *laughs*

(muttering under breath..."like he couldn't have just said you spelled that wrong...")

I wasn't trying to be a wise ass! Honest!

I had a sneaking suspicion that it was spelt wrong but then I figured it could be someone else or even me spelling it wrong (which was an unlikely event I admit)

Kudos for even knowing who he is! :)

So everyone tell me is this a first? Flagg apologizing? Should I be flattered?
