I'd like to inform everyone that my first story on this site, "Hill's Angels"- a bit of fanfic about the dancing girls on THE BENNY HILL SHOW (hey, they're hot)- has just gone up, and I hope some of you contribute.

In addition this thread's for anyone who wants to talk about potential threads and such before they submit.

well I hope I don't appear stupid by asking this, but, What is the Benny Hill show? I've heard the name a time or two but never anything else. I assume it's a talk show? Maybe like the man show? or Jimmy Kimmle Live? Also, where do we find your story?

Its an old British comedy show from the 70s featuring lots of double entendres and scantily clad girls.

Benny's career died in the politically correct 80s and those shows do look incredibly dated now (though I agree Hill's Angels were hot).

Think the British girl from Frasier (whatshername) was a former Hill's Angel - a number of them went on to better things.

Comedy Central used to rerun it ALL THE TIME. I taped quite a few of the girls' best moments off of there.

But, anyhow, nicely written intro, Criswell. (and welcome to the forum). I assume you'd want it to be a period piece. Might be something a little different.

Just wanted to say thanks for clearing that up for me. Haven't checked out the story yet, but perhaps if I get some time I shall. And I know who you're talking about on Fraiser. Her name on the show is Daphne. I don't know anything about her real name or anything.

If you consider early-to-mid-80s a period, sure. Not that I'll be a big stickler for authenticity on that front, just no obvious slip-ups.
