Trump licensed his name for several million dollars per year to Turkish businessmen running a luxury hotel in Istanbul. The hotel is the Trump Towers. This is a cash cow for Trump. He does nothing but collect money each year. He sold out the Kurds (and stability in Northern Syria) in order to keep the personal cash inflow coming.

Turkish dictator Erdogan has been pressuring the hotel to remove Trump's name because of Trump's public hatred of all things Muslim. The only thing that Erdogan hates more than Muslim-haters are Kurds, so in Trump's mind this was "win-win".
