For those of you that haven't been paying attention Assange has done another data dump on Hillary. Among the documents are excerpts from her speeches to the Bankers. (The ones that Bernie demanded be made public and that Hillary refused to comply with.) The documents contain a mother lode of statements that I'm certain that Hillary would just as soon not have to deal with. But I'm only going to focus on one sentence.
Hillary is not alone in that dream, she is joined by more than a few 'country club Republicans.' And the truth be told I can get on board with the 'dream' as a LONG TERM GOAL. But as a practical matter the rush to implement that goal without having laid any substantial ground work is the principle reason for the rise of Trump.
In order to achieve this 'dream' there has to be in place an umbrella framework document not unlike our constitution. The formation of a hemispheric super nation as it were. (The Peoples Democratic Republic of the America's?) And exactly how is that to be structured? How will the 'Super Politicians' be elected? Will the Latin nations vote en bloc to force their legal structures on the US and Canada? I wonder how the Canadians would feel about that? Or for that matter how would the Canadians feel about surrendering their national sovereignty? (We can ask the same question and just replace Canada with Brazil, or Chile, or any one of the other nations.)
Will this governmental structure take the form of the EU where unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats impose edicts on all?
Who gets to vote on who gets the tax revenues and how it's spent? Will there even be a vote on that subject?
And speaking of law, what structure with that take and in what language? I just don't see the US or Canada signing on to the Latin legal system models.
Without that overriding structure the implementation of 'open borders' and 'open trade' is a prescription for disaster. It begins to sound much like the "Articles of Confederation" that were an acknowledged disaster. Conversely I can't see the Latin nations rolling over and embracing the English Common Law model that governs the US and Canada's legal systems.
This race towards 'globalization' via 'open borders' and 'open trade' is putting the cart before the horse. Obviously Hillary hasn't thought this through (and neither have the other advocates of this 'back door' policy.
It is not surprising that Hillary would voice these 'dreams' to a group of bankers. They would see the immediate benefits to themselves by being able to romp through the Americas with no national laws to impede their designs. And I can assure you that their motives are NOT driven by concern for the common man.
