I'm going into work for the first time since before I got hit by the car. Last day I worked was May 16th.
I don't plan on doing much, just seeing how things are going, checking inventory, etc. but I'm feeling like it's the first day of school.

Thank you all for your kind concern. All I did today was check out what we had coming up, go over inventory, and straighten out a few screwup on a couple of purveyor accounts. More than anything else I just wanted to make an appearance. Everything is in order for the rest of the week, and there's no reason for me to have to come in again before next week, but I will likely still pop in, just so i don't go nuts sitting at home.
I am so proud of all my people, they have done so much more than I have any right to expect. In particular, my sous chef Kenny has been doing all his work and most of mine. As a small token of appreciation, I bought tickets for everyone to watch the Red Wings game tomorrow night at the Hockeytown Cafe.

I'm pretty beat, but it felt good to get out and do something, and I have been feeling a little guilty sitting at home while everyone else works their butts off.I know that's not rational, that I have a perfectly good excuse to be home, but I am the boss, I feel responsible for everyone.
