So, I've been trying to find this one for a while, but somehow can't dig it out of a search engine.
The plot is a familiar one on the surface, two people reconnecting at a high school reunion. But... they last saw each other at their high school prom, when they broke up on what was supposed to be their big night together. Another guy, a typical bully character, tried to force himself on her in a bathroom, or a hallway outside of one, and her boyfriend (at the time) walks up and thinks she's willingly cheating on him with this guy.
He storms out, refuses to speak to her afterward, or goes off to college or whatever... they drift apart until years later, when they spot each other at a reunion and start talking. Things start to heat up between them on the dance floor and she starts to think she's got a chance with the guy she had been so in love with back in high school.
Only, in a bit of a 'Back to the Future' scene, she once again gets accosted by the same bully from high school, and just like years earlier, the guy she loves walks down the hall or whatever just in time to see her being kissed and felt up by this bully character.
He takes off, completely pissed off, and drives home. She's talking to a friend afterward, and learns where he lives and drives through the night to get there, knocking on his door the next morning. At first he doesn't want to even talk to her, but she convinces him to let her in, and eventually the truth comes out, that she never wanted the other guy, it was just awful timing.

That's the highlights that I can remember, of a fairly long story, but I just can't seem to find it. Any pointers, much appreciated.
