Hiding stuff on a smart phone

After years of using my beloved dumbphone, I'm finally switching to an (android) smartphone and now have to get used, I suppose, to all that goes with it including hours/days/weeks of "setting up", various mishaps and, of course, bumping into lamp posts.

One (sort of, kind of, maybe) advantage it does appear to offer is being online. What concerns me is being able to keep private what I want kept private. There's every chance that other hands will find their way into contact with the device. Does anyone have any tips to offer?

Private or incognito mode on whatever web browser you use. This will keep history from being saved. There are certain apps you can use that you can save certain things to that you don’t want others to see. As for pictures or videos, I think it is better to keep them off your phone and save them off elsewhere.

Even with a passcode there may be a point where a spouse or someone else needs to use your phone. Don’t want them stumbling on something.

Yes can be embarrassing when wifey believing she is married to a straight guy finds endless vids of guys wanking each other off and bareback ass banging, not to mention the naughty Literotica PMs.

Not sure if all phones have this but mine has a secure folder where you can have picture folders and even apps. I believe you can even use a browser through there. Not 100% sure as I don't use it. I've saved a couple of pics just to see how it works. Oh and it's password protected.

There are also picture vaults where you can store pics, password protected as well.

🤷🏻‍♀️

There’s an app called Notes that can store notes(even long notes like a story), pictures and even videos which is password protected.?

The above user has already stated it, but Samsung notes allows you to password lock (and even fingerprint lock) files. They will only be visible on the screen with a padlock symbol.
Another option is to save on Google drive rather than on your phone.
Just to highlight one thing, when using chrome browser on your phone IF you don't use incognito it saves your history which can be accessed on another computer if you are signed in as the same user....that's caused a panic for me once.
